The work of the animal:

Never forget the horror.

    hi,

An animal would never do this-only a human is capable of these actions. Will you please stop referring to this man as an animal?

Humanity must accept the actions of a fellow human-we should not belittle the actions by referring them as actions of another species.

    Thank you.

    Excellent blog.
If you don’t mind, I just have one quick question. What do you do to clear your thoughts and find your center of focus before you sit down to write creatively? I just can’t get my head clear so that I’m able to give attention to my non technical ideas. I truly do love writing, however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 mins are lost merely just trying to determine how to get started. Any tips or suggestions?

The trick is to take baby steps. Set small goals and finish them before moving to the next one.
For example, take an idea and write a short paragraph about it (3 sentences or so). Keep honing it for fifteen minutes. Then move onto the next goal (another paragraph about another idea). It will take several tries until you begin liking what you’ve written — but keep at it. At some point, you’ll forget about time, and you’ll enjoy doing the work. You’ll also get better at it — everyone does. (Well, there are exceptions to that, especially if you’re read most of the content on The Fine Report.)

Hi, I’m a writer based out of the Netherlands and found your site.
I’m working on beginning my own website soon but I don’t really know where to get started. Could you suggest starting with a free platform like eggBlog or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m absolutely overloaded.
    .. What would you say?

Try one of the free ones. Start simple, develop your style.
Despite the effort, not everyone is successful at it — The Fine Report being a good example.
